The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine: Past and Present

This talk claims that the ethnic paradigm is the most important one for
understanding Palestine and Israel's past and present predicament. Only through this paradigm can one fully absorb the significance of the Zionist project for the indigenous people of Palestine as well as for the settler community of Jews who came in the late 19th century. It is also the only plausible prism through which one can comprehend best the reasons for the deadlock in the Israel-Palestine "peace process". The talk argues that the Zionist and later Israeli strategy towards the Palestinians was based on the idea of 'ethnic cleansing' and would offer a way for a future solution for the ongoing conflict.
